Eidos 0.18.0
Work on a project together online, and install the CLI with one command
Eidos online keeps a team's blueprints, tasks, and canvases in step as each person types, with members, invites, and plans, or on your own server, and the CLI is now one program installed without Node or npm.
Update the CLI

Release highlights
- Live editing and sync: Turn on sync and every page on a file sees the others' typing as it happens, with no Save.
- Members, invites, and who is here: Invite a teammate by link or email with a role and the parts of the project they reach, join a project from the Launcher with Join Online Project…, and see who else has it open beside the sync widget.
- Your Eidos account: Sign in with an emailed code, Apple, Google, or a password, add two-step sign-in with an authenticator app, sign out a device, and download your data or delete the account on account.eidosmd.com.
- Free to read and comment, a seat to edit: Reading, commenting, agents, and two free editors per owner cost nothing; a 30-day trial needs no card, and a limit never removes your work: changes wait on your machine until a seat or storage covers them.
- Your team's own server:
eidos-serviceruns the same sync on a server you control, free up to three editors and licensed past them. - The CLI with nothing to install first:
curl -fsSL https://eidosmd.com/install | sh(orirm https://eidosmd.com/install.ps1 | iexon Windows) installseidosas one program for macOS, Linux, and Windows, checked against its published checksum. - Versions side by side:
eidos version pin <version>holds a project to one version for everyone and every pipeline, andeidos version usesets your own default. - Icons and colours on folders and blueprints: Right-click one and pick Change Icon… for a Lucide icon or an emoji and a colour, kept for the whole team.
- Prototypes as one asset, and images on a canvas: A folder in an asset folder is a bundle with one page that previews it at Desktop, Mobile, or a size you drag, and
⌘Vpastes a screenshot onto a canvas.
New
Live editing and sync
Turn on sync and every page on a file sees the others' typing as it happens, with no Save. A change from an agent, a command, or git reaches everyone, offline work is merged when you are back, and a file's History restores any earlier version. Syncing →

Changed
npm no longer installs the CLI
The eidosmd package now holds the plugin API alone. Run npm uninstall -g eidosmd and install with the script instead; eidos ci writes jobs that install it the same way.
eidos version is the version of eidos itself
A project's versions are eidos git version.
Fixed
Pasted images that were never saved
An image pasted and then undone stayed in the asset folder for good; it is now flagged and removed like any image nothing links to.
Known limitations
Another person's caret is not drawn in your page yet, and two offline edits to the same words are merged without being marked, so read a passage you both worked on after reconnecting. A team's own server is built from source and cannot send mail yet: it prints sign-in codes and invites for whoever runs it to pass on.
